If you’ve worked in recruitment, you’ll know the deal. The industry often leans heavily on commission-based pay, and lower base salaries are usually offset by the promise of big earnings if you hit your targets. In theory, it’s motivating - but let’s be honest, it’s not always ideal.

What happens during a quieter month? When you apply for that mortgage? When your base salary doesn’t reflect your skills and experience?
This commission-heavy model can often mean unpredictable earnings, pressure to prioritise short-term wins over long-term relationships, and environments where competition is put before collaboration. Which isn’t really our bag.
After many years in recruitment, and many chats with many recruiters, we've learned that a lot of us feel the same.
Sure, some people thrive in that setup – but for many, it’s just not sustainable. And when a pay structure doesn’t give you stability or recognition, it’s no surprise that experienced recruiters start looking for something else.
we think there’s a better way.
We're all about doing things differently - so we applied that to our pay structure, too. We've developed a new salary structure for 2025 that reflects our beliefs; built around trust, fairness, and showing that we value our people.
In short, we pay higher base salaries than your typical agency. We've always paid more than most local agencies, but now we've taken it a step further.
why though?
Good question. Why would we put all our salaries up, in one go, out of nowhere?
Well, it's about the bigger picture. We want our people to feel financially secure, valued and motivated - not just by commission, but by knowing they’re trusted to do what they do best. So, our new salary scale is designed to offer stability, clarity, and recognition from day one - still topped off with a great commission scheme, too.

so, what are our new salaries?
Well, for trainees coming in with zero experience, salaries are up to £28,000 plus commission.
For Senior Recruiters, base salaries are up to £40,000, plus commission.
And for those in leadership roles? Up to £55,000 (you guessed it) plus commission.
